Annina Wöhrle, violin

Born in Zurich 1986, Annina took her first steps of violin and music education in the age of only 2.5 in the Suzuki method school on Meggen, Luzern.
In 2009 she finished her studies with the highest marks in the Zurich Hochschule of the arts with Prof. Ulrich Gröner. In 2012 she was granted her master’s degree from the Cologne Hochschule for music and dance where she studied with Prof. Ariadne Daskalakis.
Next to her main studies of violin performing, she gained further education and expertise performing the baroque violin under the guidance of Monika Baer and Richard Gwilt.
Erich Höbarth, Roglit Ishay, Eckart Heiligers and Harald Schoneweg are among her mentors in the chamber music field.
She performs regularly in the leading chamber orchestras of Switzerland such as the Basel Chamber Orchestra, the Camerata Bern and the Geneva Camerata where she is a fixed member, concert-master and a soloist.
Since 2017 Annina is living her passion add devotion for chamber music performance a member of the AMAR QUARTET
She is a prize winner of the Swiss Youth Music Competition and awarded scholarships such as from the Friedl Wald foundation and the Werner and Berti Alter foundation.
Annina plays a Violin made by Joseph Marconcini, built in Ferrara, 1814.
